Just about everyone with a small business who has a website needs to learn the SEO tactics and strategies to get a flood of traffic from Google to the website, and individual pages of that website. Of course, SEO (search engine optimization) marketing is very competitive, and you must choose your strategies and tactics in a very savvy way. You must also execute those strategies with a high degree of quality.

In this SEO training video I explain how to make web pages that are seen as good in Google’s eyes, and I explain how to rank those websites and pages in Google search. The strategies to get a website to rank in the top-10 of Google search results are complex, but you can do it. The first concept you have to become familiar with is link building (sometimes spelled linkbuilding) which is a process of getting high quality and relevant links to your website. In this training tutorial I explain a few strategies for how to get backlinks to your website. I also discuss a brute force way to get links to your website. Once you have built enough backlinks, you should focus on social media because social sharing will help the SEO of your page or website, and get it to rank in Google faster.

Cornerstone pages for SEO keyword domination

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this video tutorial I explain the concept of cornerstone SEO content, and how you can create such pages in order to help you rank in Google or whatever other search engines in which it might be important for you to rank higher.

When I want a web page or a piece of content to rank for some search term that is competitive, and difficult to rank for, I often have to put together a very full and authoritative page on that topic so that it can have the potential to rank higher in search. The piece of content should actually be of such high quality that it would be deserving of ranking in results for that particular search query.

Once I put together a long and well rounded piece of content together, that piece of content can be considered cornerstone content because it can act as the cornerstone and authoritative article on whatever the subject matter might be.

Since it is an authoritative piece, it will have the highest chance to rank in Google, to get shared on social media, and to have the most engagement, which will further help it climb the search engine rankings. Such content and information rich pages have all the makings of pages that also rank well in search.

Algorithms: search engine algorithm domination for all Internet marketing

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this video tutorial I talk about strategies to help you dominate in your marketing efforts all across the Internet. If you think about it, just about all large sites on the web have a search functionality. For many sites (not all), the main path to content discoverability is their search functionality. For that reason, you must understand how search algorithms work, and how your business must get the most out it it.

If you want to be a great marketer, check out my full marketing course with 11 hours of tutorials.

In this video, one example I talk about is just how many algorithms there are in YouTube. YouTube has an algorithm for search, recommended and personalized videos, and more.

I also discuss all the different websites where you must dominate their search engine. Such websites are Amazon, mobile app stores, Yelp, obviously Google and YouTube, eBay, and much more.

What do algorithms like? They like engagement and social signals that come from users. Engagement is typically things like number of times a person lands on a page, how long they stay there, whether they leave nice reviews, go further down the sales funnel, or whatever the right action is on that website.

One strategy I discuss is to build an audience on email or other platforms. If you have a large audience, you can get them to whatever you are trying to promote with SEO, and their large volume of usage will create positive social signals, which will help you rank higher in a search algorithm.

YouTube SEO: How to make videos rank in YouTube using SEO strategies

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this video tutorial I explain how to do YouTube SEO which is a complicated topic that has to do with a few complex algorithms.

There are actually at least three algorithms you need to keep in mind when you do YouTube SEO. The first is the straight forward YouTube SEO algorithm. The second is their recommendation engine for recommended videos, and the third is Google’s search engine optimization which sometimes places videos in search results. You need to take advantage of all three in order to eventually get massive traffic from YouTube SEO.

To get your videos to show up in Google search results, the trick is to rank as the #1 result for that search query in YouTube search. For many videos, once that happens, you will be the first video to show up in Google search results. The challenge is that sometimes the first video is not on the first page of Google search results. So you must make a good video that gets enough views and sends off enough positive social and engagement signals to YouTube to signal that the video should be on the first page of Google search results.

The basics of actual YouTube SEO are keywords. Each video must target some specific keywords. Those keywords must be present in the title, description and tags of the video. Additionally, you should write out a long description for each video just like you see on this video’s YouTube description. Longer descriptions are great to help you rank in YouTube search. Once you do these on page (or on video) techniques, the next factors in YouTube SEO are views and the quality of engagement on those views. Quality of engagement is a concept comprised by a few smaller ideas. Engagement means that the average minute and percentage watch duration of a video should be longer than that of competitive videos. Additionally, things like comments, thumbs up, thumbs down, and social sharing are considered engagement. The more of these kinds of engagements your video has the higher the chance that the video will rank in YouTube SEO.

SEO: How to make any page or website rank in Google top-10 search results

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this video tutorial I explain how to rank in Google top 10 search results almost no matter what kind of a page you are trying to rank and how competitive it might be to get your website or page to rank in Google. Here is the video tutorial how you do it.

First of all, you do have to make sure that you have a good page that engages people and doesn’t cause them to leave immediately after coming to your website. If you don’t have a good website or web page, you won’t be able to get it to rank in Google. So this element is very important, and is the first thing you have to take care of. Once you have a great web page, what you must do is build high quality links to that page. These links can come from publicity or other SEO strategies you execute. The caveat is that the links have to come from reputable and authoritative sites that are relevant in topic to your own website.

Once you have built enough relevant links, you must share your page or website on social media. Try to use Google Plus, Facebook, Twitter, Quora, LinkedIn and Pinterest. The important thing you must do in order to rank in Google top 10 is to not just share your page on social media, but to also ensure that your page or website get re-shared on social media. That extra sharing will help you get a boost in Google search results.

The next thing you must do in order to rank in Google is to optimize your title and description not just for SEO, but also for clickthrough rates so that people click on your search result instead of the others. If your page gets a higher clickthrough rate, it will also help it rank higher in the top-10 search results.

Link building: How to get good and relevant links (backlinks) to your website for SEO

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this video tutorial I explain how to get good and relevant backlinks (or simply just links) from other reputable and authoritative sites to your site. Many people hire agencies to help them with link building (or spelled linkbuilding?), but it isn’t necessary. If you simply follow my advice in this video tutorial you will have all the good links to your website that you need for SEO, and your site should start ranking well shortly after.

In this tutorial I teach you to get high quality good backlinks in three ways. The first is through HARO. I personally got many links for SEO through HARO. The second strategy is through RadioGuestList.com and lastly the third strategy is all about social media sharing. If you put a significant effort into these three strategies, you will get many good links for SEO, and you won’t need to hire any agency to do this for you. In fact you may have better SEO results than if you hired an agency to do your linkbuilding for SEO because you would not know what kinds of techniques they would be using to get links. And if you do these strategies, you will know that your link building methods are legitimate, and you have no chance of having your website penalized for building bad links.

Another strategy to get backlinks for SEO is an older one, but one that still works. It is called link begging. And it is pretty much how it sounds. You must identify relevant websites and blogs that link out, and send them emails asking to link to you or to review your product (which would include a link). The success rate of this strategy is about 3-5%, but it is a free brute force way to get links for SEO.

How to create a good Facebook group or fan page that increase traffic to your website

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this tutorial I explain how to create a good Facebook business page or a Facebook fan page in terms of how it visually appears to users, and its conversion and effectiveness at driving people to your website.

The most important thing is the big banner image. The big banner image on your fan page or business page should represent your brand. It is very big, and it is the first thing people see. So try to make it very good and visually appealing. If it can tell the story of your business, that is even better.

Another thing you can do to make your Facebook business page or fan page better is to add a nice logo, and include a link to your business in the about blurb that Facebook allows you to add. Most importantly, try to write engaging posts so that more people will naturally see your posts.

I recently made a new Facebook group with a big banner that represents my brand and I used a nice big banner which I had made for me on Fiverr for just $5. So creating such a banner is virtually free, and once you have a good banner, you can use it for your YouTube channel, Facebook and other social websites.

Growth hack for Google SEO and YouTube SEO to get traffic to your website

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this video tutorial I show a strategy for how I use Quora and other similar websites to help me with YouTube SEO for my videos, and Google SEO for my website overall as well as various individual pages on my website.

The strategy is simple. For YouTube, the strategy is about getting embeds of the video which is a ranking factor in YouTube. The strategy is also about getting quality views which is another ranking factor in YouTube. As far as Google search is concerned, what you must do is increase the number of visits a page gets, and to make sure that the people who visit the page have a good experience on it to signal to Google that the page is a good one, and that Google should rank it higher in search results.

This strategy has helped me rank many videos on YouTube and pages on Google. To be honest I have used it more to rank my YouTube videos so I have more experience with that, but the strategy does work for Google SEO and YouTube SEO so give it a try. I hope you get good results like I do. Just a small word of caution, this strategy doesn’t help with every video or web page you try to promote. You must experiment a little bit to see what ultimately works for you.

Quora is also great for simply driving traffic to your website or views to your video. So you can make money and get clients with this Quora growth hack even if your site or video doesn’t ultimately rank in Google search.

Amazon SEO: How to do Amazon and Kindle keyword research to rank in search and categories

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this tutorial I show how I do keyword research for my books on Amazon and the Kindle. I go through choosing the categories and through the Google Keyword tool to find the right keywords or keywords that my current listing might be missing.  I also show how to plug those keywords into the description in order to get my book to rank for more kinds of searches on Amazon. During the tutorial I actually find a number of existing flaws in my own existing keyword research, and eventually correct them. So the example is a very good one because it is based on a very real product.

To sell more paperback books on Amazon.com and digital copies of your books on the Kindle platform, you must do good keyword research, and then add those keywords to your title, book description, and he keywords field designated by Amazon. Additionally, keep in mind that the search in Amazon.com and the Kindle platform will bring up different search results. So your keyword research must be a unique for each platform. There will be a large overlap, but even despite the overlap, you must keep in mind that the Kindle search and Amazon.com search are different from one another.

Keyword research live example using Google keyword planner (formerly Google keyword tool)

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this video tutorial I walk through a few examples of how to use the Google Keyword Tool which is now known as the Google Keyword Planner.

Additionally, check out this full SEO tutorial that will take you from beginner to advanced in just one video:

The Google keyword tool helps you understand how many searches are happening globally for any given keywords, and how competitive those search phrases tend to be in terms of ranking in Google for those search terms.

This is a great tool that helps you create an SEO strategy by helping you understand what kind of traffic volume you can expect from any given keyword or a combination of keywords. This tool is also helpful because it gives data on other related search terms that you might not have thought of on your own. It also gives long tail keyword ideas which is a very nice thing that is also helpful. Additionally, this Google keyword planner (formerly Google keyword tool) also gives data for exact searches vs. longer searches in which the phrase you are interested happens to appear.

Reasons I Use The Google Keyword Planner For My Keyword Research

I use this tool for all my keyword research. If I am making a mobile app, YouTube video, or a web page on my blog, the first thing I do is get keyword volume, competition, and related keyword ideas or combinations from the Google keyword planning tool. This helps my keyword research tremendously, and it increases my total potential reach. It also helps me target short tail keywords and long tail keywords in one page, which gives me a chance to rank for at least some small Google searches even if I don’t get the page to rank for the big search I am really after.
