The first thing you want to do is to funnel people to whatever site you sell from. That can be an Amazon page, your own website, or anywhere else from where you sell. That means that you don’t care a whole lot about likes, comments or engagement. What you want is to get people to click on your ads in order to then land on your sales page.

For that reason, you choose the option in the Facebook ads manager to get clicks. Once you choose to get clicks, you should then be very careful about how you target people. You should know exactly the kind of person you want to target with your advertising. Facebook provides the richest set of ways by which to target your potential customers with Facebook ads. You can choose to target people by demographics, psychographics, interests, shopping habits, and more. If you target your potential customers by the right demographics, interests and psychographics, and sell them a product that is something that sells well, you should be able to generate many sales with paid Facebook advertising which will help you to not need to rely on their free marketing as much as most people do.

Social proof is a combination of the number of customers, total and average rating of reviews, endorsements and testimonials. Getting an investor or publicity can also serve as social proof.

You can get reviews by giving copies of your product away, and suggesting people (or encouraging) to leave nice reviews if they enjoy the product. You can also get good testimonials from those very same users that you can use on your website or anywhere else. Additionally, if you have any high level contacts in your industry, ask them for an endorsement.

You can also buy reviews. Many people and companies do that. It isn’t the most white hat approach, but in the world of online marketing, it is nothing new. I don’t personally do that, but I know of a number of people and businesses who have bought reviews to get social proof, and it was a successful effort.

Social proof is extremely important when you try to sell. It help you increase sales by hundreds of percent if you do it right. Always think about adding more and more social proof to your products and anything you are promoting. It will go a very long way to having you stand out among other products.

While there are general guidelines, since there are so many different kinds of businesses out there, there are many different kinds of business pages and fan pages as well. And there are many different styles and tastes of running them. For different industries, different strategies may be more or less appropriate.

For most common types of business pages, about once or twice a day is the best schedule for posting Facebook updates. If you don’t have that much time to devote to updating Facebook, you might want to slow down your Facebook updates to only a few per week, and instead to focus on the quality and engagement of your updates. To get more engagement, try to post articles or videos which come with very vivid visuals, and that are already popular on the web. Facebook knows which articles are good because guess what, those articles already have many likes on them. And so Facebook will show those articles to more of your fans and you will get more engagement with your posts.

In addition, you are able to structure your Google Plus posts to resemble a real page. You can create a title section, a little description section, the body of your post, and even a footer are where you should add your hashtags. You can also embed videos and photos in your Google Plus posts to help the SEO of your videos and any other links you put into your Google Plus updates.

Another great thing you can do is to try to grow the number of your Google Plus followers. The more followers you have, the more authority your posts will have within a specific niche.

Personally, I try to use Google Plus all the time when I need to help my content rank in Google search or YouTube search. Since I started using Google Plus as one of the social networks where I promote my content I have seen a boost in search rankings of some of the content that I promoted there. This doesn’t happen with all content, but I do see that it helps quite often.

In this tutorial I go over some research that shows that the best time of the day to tweet is approximately from 9-5pm. And if you have longer-form content you are promoting, it might be a good idea to tweet in the evenings when people might have more time to read longer articles. Additionally, since web traffic is typically lower on the weekends, you the best days to tweet are Monday through Friday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are typically the heaviest web traffic days of the week and Friday is the lowest traffic day of the weekdays.
