In this video tutorial I explain how to add social proof to any business, service, product or website.

Social proof is a combination of the number of customers, total and average rating of reviews, endorsements and testimonials. Getting an investor or publicity can also serve as social proof.

You can get reviews by giving copies of your product away, and suggesting people (or encouraging) to leave nice reviews if they enjoy the product. You can also get good testimonials from those very same users that you can use on your website or anywhere else. Additionally, if you have any high level contacts in your industry, ask them for an endorsement.

You can also buy reviews. Many people and companies do that. It isn’t the most white hat approach, but in the world of online marketing, it is nothing new. I don’t personally do that, but I know of a number of people and businesses who have bought reviews to get social proof, and it was a successful effort.

Social proof is extremely important when you try to sell. It help you increase sales by hundreds of percent if you do it right. Always think about adding more and more social proof to your products and anything you are promoting. It will go a very long way to having you stand out among other products.

Case study of how to improve ux: website or mobile app usability and user experience

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

To learn to promote your site like a pro, take my marketing strategies online course with over 10 hours of marketing tutorials and over 100 lectures.

In this video tutorial I explain how to improve website usability (sometimes written as just UX) and user experience.

I explain this by presenting a case study of how I improved the consumer experience of my own products by using off the shelf analytics packages and my own software analytics that I build into the product.

When I built my original mobile apps and early versions of my website, I had identified key actions that I needed by customers and users to perform, which would either improve the time they spent on my site or app, or spend more money. Those actions could be things like clicking various links, buying things, signing up for services, or simply navigating the website or app in the way that I needed them to. Of course, you won’t always get 100% of the people doing what you need them to do. That is not attainable. But with the help of using various techniques to improve usability, conversion of people doing the things I needed them to do can be raised.

What I did on my websites and apps is that I made sure to continuously update the website and apps, and monitor the engagement of users with the new features I was adding, or navigation I needed them to do. Each time I got enough sample data to make an informed decision on how the most recent version of the website or product influenced consumer behavior, I strategically planned next changes to the product that I thought would further increase the conversion rate of what I needed my customers to do. Then I would launch the product to the marketplace again, and begin to monitor how people were interacting with it in order to make further changes.

This is how I consistently iterated and improved the UX and customer experience of my websites and apps. Just continue repeating this cycle, and never stop improving your product. After just a few months, with this strategy my very first app became one of the highest rated apps on Android, which helped it grow in Google Play search rankings, and get more users.

2 strategies to become an Amazon and Kindle best seller TODAY: rank #1 in Kindle categories & search

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this tutorial I explain two strategies for how to become an Amazon or Kindle best seller within mere days of launching your book or learning these strategies. The first strategy has to do with promoting the book to your own list and various online destinations like coupon sites, deal sites, and Kindle or book reader groups. The other strategy which is more powerful has to do with leveraging existing strong online marketers and well known people who have a large existing audience to get all of them to promote your book.

Free Promotion Strategy

The first strategy to become a best seller is one I use. That strategy involves creating a free promotion and posting that free promotion to different places like forums, various Kindle reader groups, sending that promotion to your email list or any other list you can think of where people might be interested in your book. In the video I show the results of doing that kind of a promotion. They depend on how much outreach you will be able to do, and the size of your own mailing list.

The Thought Leader Strategy For Becoming A Best Seller

The second strategy I discuss in the video is the strategy to write a book where you interview or highlight successful people. When you do that, those successful people will have incentive to promote your book when you launch it on Amazon or the Kindle. And because those people are successful, they typically have large email lists of their own which they will use to promote your book. In the tutorial I show the tremendous results that this strategy can yield in just one day.

Another strategy to become an Amazon best seller is a simple one that can happen over time. If you simply keep selling your book at a good rate, and getting it to rank for better and better searches, the book will ultimately sell enough copies to become a best seller. There are no short cuts, and this strategy involves a lot of hard work, but it is quite viable.

Amazon and Kindle SEO: How to sell more by ranking your books or products in Amazon & Kindle search

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In this tutorial I explain how you can sell more of your books or products on Amazon by getting your items to rank well in relevant Amazon searches, and essentially leveraging Amazon SEO.

A big part of Amazon’s search ranking algorithm depends on the conversion rate of the people who visit your product landing page to actual buyers. Obviously the more people buy your product the more money Amazon will make, and therefore it is important to Amazon that your product converts well into sales. So you must make sure to get your product or book landing page to convert well. Once you do that, this alone will help to increase your sales. But this isn’t it. You will need to do your best to drive people to your Amazon sales page and drive more sales so that those sales help you rank in Amazon. If you do this, over time, you should begin to jump over your competitors in Amazon. It might sounds simple, but it isn’t because driving sales and getting people to spend money with your business is quite difficult and will require a tremendous effort.

Another important component on Amazon and Kindle SEO the clickthrough rate of the people who search for a particular term. If your listing preview is more attractive than the listing previews of your competitors, you will have a higher clickthrough rate than your competitors, and that will also help you rank higher on Amazon. The only caveat is that your product sales page must convert people at a high enough rate because if they press the back button after landing on your page, that is a negative signal about your listing, and will prevent you from ranking higher. So make sure people don’t have a reason to press the back button when they find your book or product on Amazon.
