How memory loss can contribute to creating a business based on family relations.

Family Tree Gift is a small business that was created by me and my husband in order to help seniors who have been affected by memory loss.
The idea of making a family tree was dictated by our personal unpleasant experiences. It all began when my grandparents started having memory problems. I would never expect that our loved ones will have difficulties recognizing their own family members. Both grandparents were doctors. They were professionally active long after they could retire. Unfortunately, when they stopped working, the first symptoms of memory loss appeared.
Being a designer often causes many people to ask me for help in various graphic related
matters. That’s how our Family Tree Gift idea has emerged.
My parents came up with a plan to prepare a genealogical tree scheme that will work as a
cheat sheet to help the grandparents remembering the family members and their names.
The idea was great. I didn’t want to waste more time. I designed our family tree scheme, added photos, signed them with accurate names, and then I’ve printed the graphics and framed the image. It was looking so good! Everyone enjoyed our bespoke gift and what’s more important it was and still is so useful for our grandparents.
On that day I realized that creating such a family tree for other families is something that I love to do. I was so excited that I started to settle a new brand almost immediately.
After two months of work, my husband and I were ready to start selling. Although the sales are just beginning, I’m sure that these good vibes we put into this business can give us back many great opportunities. I wish this for ourselves and everyone else!
