How to promote your business with video on YouTube

In this tutorial I explain how to use video to promote your business. The top place to promote your business with video is obviously YouTube.

What I do is also promote my business with video on Udemy since Udemy allows me to create online courses. All my courses on Udemy are video based. I promote my business on YouTube and Udemy. I also use video by embedding it in my blog posts and apps. So I actually use video in at least 4 potentially large platforms.

I personally love using YouTube, and it has become the number one place where I promote my business. It helps me build an audience, get my videos discovered in search, and recommended to people who might like it. I wasn’t always into video and I am still a relative beginner with it. Every day I am trying to learn new editing techniques, directing techniques, and on camera techniques for acting.

What got me into promoting my business with video was when I saw the power of this strategy when I was working as a consultant for one company. That company was able to get traffic to their YouTube videos that trumped their website’s traffic many fold. I was originally skeptical, but I tried to record a few videos with my computer’s camera. The video quality was bad, and my presentations were bad because it was the first time I did such a thing. But little by little I got better and better at things, and my initial videos were beginning to get some views. Eventually I bought an HD camera for about $300 and I was off to the races. Now I make new videos every day, and it helps me promote my business with video, and especially on YouTube.
