There are a few reasons why growing subscribers on YouTube is extremely beneficial. The first reason is that it makes your personal or business brand appear to be more authoritative. The second reason is that you can promote your videos to more people. Another key reason to grow subscribers is that your YouTube channel will be seen as more authoritative within its niche by Google and YouTube search (not just by people), and you will be able to get new videos to rank higher in YouTube search (YouTube SEO).
The simplest strategy to get more subscribers is to get more views because the more people watch your videos the more people will hopefully like them and want to watch more of your videos. It is a simple concept that many people simply miss. People think that they have to engage in some trickery in order to get more subscribers, but if you simply get more views, you will begin to get more subscribers.
Another tip to get more subscribers is to add a watermark subscribe link like I have on my videos on the top right of every video. It is easy to set up in YouTube settings. For my channel, this has led to about 5-10% increase in subscribers.
