Is It A Good Idea To Buy Facebook Likes?

You can buy Facebook likes in two ways. There is the way that Facebook recommends that you buy Facebook likes, and the non-official way to buy Facebook likes. Both have their pros and cons.

If you go the route that Facebook recommends (which you can be sure will of course benefit them first and foremost) you will advertise your business page on Facebook to attract likes from your potential customers whom you can target with Facebook’s good targeting tools. The problem with this approach is that it is expensive in terms of the amount of money you will need to spend. Depending on your niche and how you target potential customers, you may spend from $0.10 to $5.00 with most likes costing you somewhere around $0.50. This may not seem expensive, but it can add up if you plan to attract thousands of people, and if the return on the investment in those likes isn’t equal to their cost. Additionally, as you are already aware, Facebook will limit your ability to reach those people. You option to reach them with your further marketing messages will be to pay Facebook further.

The other option to buy likes is to buy likes from random Facebook accounts or even fake accounts. These will be utterly useless to your business in every way except one. If you buy a large number of such likes (it can be as cheap as $5 for tens of thousands on a service like Fiverr.com) other people who discover your business page will think you are doing something interesting, and will take a closer look at your account. Having more people like your business or fan page makes you look better and gives you the appearance of social proof. Many celebrities and public figures use this tactic all the time. It makes you appear to be more of an expert in your niche, and others will be more likely to engage with you if they begin to view you as being authoritative.

Difference Between Facebook Likes And Shares

Many people struggle to understand the full difference between Facebook shares and likes. The difference is subtle and admittedly confusing. Shares are more like recommendations while likes have some component of a recommendation about them, but they are more like signals that you like something. Take a look at this full article explaining the difference between Facebook likes and shares. And if you are still unclear about what exactly is the benefit of a like, we have an article about that.
